Multiphase winding configurations have gained significant attention in high-performance variable speed drives and wind energy conversion systems (WECS) owing to their myriad advantages. In the available literature, various multiphase layouts been designed aiming at boosting machine performance meet requirements of proposed applications. Ultimately, this paper surveyed state-of-the-art for innovative Various types windings were discussed, while investigating advantages limitations. This typically considers employed induction motors (IMs) permanent magnet (PM) machines with prime phase multiple three-phase orders. study extensively provides arrangements that offer better characteristics terms torque density, efficiency, fault-tolerance capability. Moreover, construction general n -phase using standard stator frames has elaborated. latter technique obviates basic necessity special a number phases.
